Last updated: 28 December 2025

Version 1.1

LIMBA is a general wellness and stretching app intended to support flexibility, mobility, and physical activity.

LIMBA does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a medical device or healthcare service.

By using the app, you acknowledge and agree to the guidance below.

1. General safe use guidance

When using LIMBA, you agree to:

  • Move slowly and with control
  • Stretch only within a comfortable, pain-free range
  • Avoid sudden or forceful movements
  • Breathe normally and do not hold your breath
  • Follow instructions as presented in the app
  • Use the app only in a safe, suitable environment

Stretching should never cause sharp, severe, or persistent pain.

You are responsible for exercising good judgement and stopping any activity that feels unsafe or inappropriate for you.

2. Personal responsibility and fitness level

You acknowledge that:

  • LIMBA does not assess your physical condition or fitness
  • LIMBA does not determine whether an activity is safe for you
  • You are solely responsible for deciding whether to participate in any activity
  • You should modify, skip, or stop exercises based on your own ability, comfort, and health.

Progression should be gradual and appropriate to your individual circumstances.

3. Contraindications (when you should not use the app)

You should not use LIMBA, or should seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional before use, if you:

  • Have a medical condition affecting movement, balance, or circulation
  • Have a recent injury, surgery, or fracture
  • Experience unexplained pain, swelling, dizziness, fainting, or numbness
  • Have been advised to limit physical activity by a healthcare professional
  • Are pregnant, postpartum, or recovering from illness and unsure what activity is appropriate
  • Have cardiovascular, neurological, or musculoskeletal conditions that may be affected by stretching or exercise

LIMBA makes no representation that the app is suitable for any specific individual or condition.

4. Health information and self-reported data

If you choose to provide wellness or health-related information (such as a yes/no medical history indicator):

  • The information is self-reported and not verified
  • It is used only to personalise app content
  • It does not replace professional medical advice or assessment
  • LIMBA does not store medical records, monitor your health, or provide clinical oversight.

5. Escalation guidance – when to stop immediately

You must stop using the app and the current activity immediately if you experience:

  • Sharp, severe, or worsening pain
  • Sudden joint instability or loss of strength
  • Chest pain, tightness, or pressure
  • Dizziness, fainting, or shortness of breath
  • Numbness, tingling, or loss of sensation
  • Any symptom that causes concern or feels abnormal

Continuing to exercise through pain or discomfort increases the risk of injury.

6. When to seek medical assistance

You should seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional if:

  • Pain persists, worsens, or returns after activity
  • You experience repeated discomfort during stretching
  • You are unsure whether an activity is safe for you
  • You are returning to activity after injury, illness, or surgery

In the event of a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.

7. No medical advice or guarantees

All content provided in LIMBA is for general informational and wellness purposes only.

LIMBA:

  • Does not guarantee any specific outcomes or results
  • Does not provide personalised medical guidance
  • Does not replace professional healthcare advice

Any reliance on the app content is at your own risk, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Assumption of risk

You acknowledge that physical activity, including stretching and mobility exercises, involves inherent risks, including the risk of injury.

By using LIMBA, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with your participation, whether known or unknown, and accept full responsibility for your actions and well-being.

9. Limitation of responsibility

To the extent permitted by law:

  • LIMBA is not responsible for injuries, losses, or damages arising from use of the app
  • LIMBA does not accept responsibility for misuse of the app or failure to follow guidance
  • You remain responsible for ensuring activities are suitable for you
  • Nothing in this guidance excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
